Still attempting to economise with energy costs

I am still trying to keep my costs down and ultimately the prices of my finished pieces.
It is a difficult challenge to completely fill my kiln before switching it on where I do have to plan each firing carefully every time. Here is an example where I will be firing the kiln overnight to a temperature of 804 degC initially. In the centre is a large panel and surrounding this are 4 keyring plus numerous small dichroic squares

After this, there will be further work on each piece, but below is an image showing the result following the first firing. The small dichroic squares have nicely fused into tiny balls ready for use on other projects

This final image displays more detail of the finished fish panel after the last overnight firing at 760 degC and adding more small textures and pieces. In the panel I have used various types of Bullseye glass: flat clear glass, powders, frit pieces, stringers, dichroic glass and small freeze'n'fuse glass shells.
